About the X3 F25

BMW moved the X3 to the rear-drive-biased F25 platform and it finally felt like a proper BMW instead of a tall wagon with an identity crisis. The N55 turbo six in the 35i made 300 hp and delivered the smooth, responsive power that justified the badge. The N20 four-cylinder in the 28i hit 240 hp and was adequate for most buyers. xDrive was standard and the system split torque 40:60 rear in normal driving, which meant the X3 could rotate on throttle if you asked it to. The interior was a clear generation ahead of the E83, with better materials and iDrive that actually worked well. The M Sport package added visual aggression and tighter suspension. The F25 was the X3 that justified the concept. Compact, capable, and recognizably BMW from behind the wheel.
