The current Silverado plays in a segment where second place costs billions in lost revenue. Every decision is calculated — the 5.3 V8 for volume, the 6.2 for margin, and a turbodiesel four-cylinder for the fuel-economy crowd nobody at Chevy thought they'd be courting. The Trail Boss and ZR2 variants acknowledge something the segment ignored for years: people want trucks that go off-road, not just trucks that look like they could. The ZR2 runs Multimatic DSSV dampers — the same technology in the Camaro Z/28 and the Colorado ZR2. Serious hardware for a truck that still hauls plywood on weekdays. The T1XX doesn't need to be exciting. It needs to be relentless.
