About the F-150 12th Gen
The 12th Gen F-150 was where Ford first dropped the EcoBoost bomb on the truck market. A twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 outperforming the old 5.4 Triton V8 in torque, towing, and fuel economy. Truck buyers didn't trust it at first. Then they drove it. The steel body was the last of its kind before the aluminum switch in the 13th Gen. The Raptor arrived with this generation too — a factory-built desert runner that turned the F-150 from a work truck into a performance vehicle. Ford sold millions. The formula was proven.
