About the Accord CG
Sixth-gen Accord, and Honda was fighting to keep the mid-size crown. The CG got bigger, which meant it finally had proper rear seat room, and the V6 option jumped to the J30A1 making 200 hp. That motor was smooth in a way the inline fours couldn't match. The four-cylinder F23A was reliable to a fault, 150 hp and no complaints. Coupe variant looked clean and got the V6 paired with a five-speed manual. The chassis was softer than the CD, a deliberate move toward comfort that split opinion. Some called it mature. Others missed the tighter feel. Build quality stayed Honda-excellent. These were the Accords your parents drove to 250,000 miles without drama, and they're still on the road proving the point.
