About the Civic FD

The FD Civic split into two personalities depending on your market. In Japan, the sedan got the Type R treatment with the K20A and became one of the sharpest front-wheel-drive cars ever sold. Everywhere else, the FD was a sensible compact that prioritized comfort and refinement over the raw edge of the EK and EG before it. The Si kept the fun alive in North America. But the FD Type R sedan — JDM only, four doors, 225 hp naturally aspirated — is the one collectors fight over now.
