The LQ9 was GM's iron-block 6.0, and in the Escalade it made 345 hp with 495 Nm. All-wheel drive was standard on this trim because the target buyer wasn't interested in choosing — they wanted everything. The 4-speed auto held it back some, but 8-second 0-100 runs in a truck this heavy were respectable for 2002. This is the generation that showed up in every music video for five years straight.
