About the Escalade 6.2 V8 EcoTec3 (420 Hp) RWD
The L86 EcoTec3 added direct injection and cylinder deactivation to the 6.2-liter formula. 420 hp, 624 Nm, and a 10-speed automatic that hunted for the right gear more than it should have. The RWD version was the lighter, slightly sharper option — 6.3 seconds to 100 is genuinely quick for something with three rows of seats. If you live somewhere it doesn't snow, this was the smart money.
