About the Cruze J300

The J300 Cruze was the car that proved GM could build a competitive compact sedan when they actually tried. Launched in 2008 on a platform co-developed with Daewoo, it offered a turbocharged 1.4 engine, a genuinely solid chassis, and an interior that felt a class above the Cobalt it replaced. The diesel variant in international markets was particularly strong. Between 2008 and 2016, the Cruze sold over three million units globally, giving Chevrolet the compact sedan credibility they had been chasing since the Cavalier days.
