200 hp from a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo. On paper, it shouldn't work. On a B-road, it was one of the most entertaining cars money could buy. The Mk7 Fiesta ST was small enough to use all of its power all of the time — a trick that cars with twice the horsepower can't manage. The three-cylinder had character: a mechanical thrum that begged for redline. Ford gave it a limited-slip diff, retuned the suspension, and created the kind of car that makes you take the long way home. Every time.
