About the Fiesta
The Fiesta was Ford's city car — small, cheap, and in ST form, one of the most entertaining hot hatches ever built for under $25,000. Born in 1976 as Ford's European answer to the oil crisis, the Fiesta spent its first three decades as a no-nonsense supermini that sold in the millions across Europe and developing markets. It was honest transportation. Nothing more, nothing less. Then Ford gave it the ST treatment. The Fiesta ST — particularly the Mk7 — became a cult car overnight. A 1.6L turbo four, a mechanical limited-slip diff, and 197 hp in a car that weighed barely over a ton. It was faster through corners than cars with twice the power because it was small enough to use the whole road. Ford killed the Fiesta in 2023 because crossovers make more money. The enthusiast community hasn't forgiven them. On Revnut, the Fiesta's legacy lives in the rankings — where size doesn't determine significance.
