About the Civic Type R EP3

The second Civic Type R was built in Swindon, England, on the seventh-generation three-door, and sold in Europe and Japan. Europe's car had a 2.0-litre DOHC i-VTEC four making 200 PS at 7,400 rpm and 196 Nm at 5,900 rpm, with a six-speed manual. ADAC lists 6.8 s to 100 km/h, 235 km/h flat out and 1,270 kg. Japan's version used a Japan-built engine, rated at 212 hp in Honda's US history, plus a helical limited-slip differential and shorter gearing, both of which European cars went without. America got a three-door Civic Si hatchback for 2002 with 160 hp instead. European sales ran from August 2001 to September 2005, with an update in July 2003.
