About the Civic EG

The EG Civic stripped weight and added VTEC. At under 1,000 kg, it was one of the lightest production cars of the 1990s, and Honda gave it engines that rewarded every rev. The hatchback was the one everyone modified — SiR and VTi variants with the B16A became the foundation of an entire tuning culture. Simple, reliable, and infinitely adaptable. The EG proved that you didn't need power to have fun. You needed lightness, a good chassis, and a willingness to use the rev range.
