The FD Type R was Honda at peak naturally aspirated insanity. 201 hp from a 2.0-liter K20A without forced induction — every horsepower earned through engineering, not boost pressure. The close-ratio six-speed fed power to the front wheels with a precision that made the car feel telepathic. Helical limited-slip diff, 8,600 rpm redline, and a chassis tuned on the Nurburgring. The FD was the last Civic Type R before turbocharging arrived. Some things are better without shortcuts.
