About the CR-V 6th Gen

Sixth-gen CR-V, and Honda leaned into the hybrid harder than ever. The 2.0-liter hybrid made 204 combined horsepower and returned 40 mpg in AWD trim. The non-hybrid 1.5 turbo stayed at 190 hp. The body grew again, now nearly mid-size, with a rear seat that reclined and a cargo area that swallowed everything a family threw at it. The design was cleaner than the RW, with a horizontal beltline and simpler surfaces. The interior was excellent with a 9-inch touchscreen, physical climate knobs that Honda brought back after complaints, and materials that felt appropriate for the price. The sixth-gen CR-V was Honda reading the market correctly: hybrid powertrain, practical packaging, and nothing experimental. It sold in enormous numbers because it didn't try to be more than what people needed.
