About the CR-V RW
Fifth-gen CR-V, and Honda went turbo for the first time in the nameplate's history. The 1.5-liter turbo L15B made 190 hp and more torque than any previous CR-V engine. CVT across the range, AWD optional. The chassis was stiffer, the ride more composed, and the cargo space grew. Honda moved to a simpler rear suspension, torsion beam instead of multi-link, to free up cargo room. Ride quality was still good. The interior got a complete redesign with a floating center console, available wireless charging, and Apple CarPlay. The RW was the CR-V that convinced buyers there was no reason to look at anything else. It did everything well enough that the only criticism was that it was boring. For a family crossover, boring is a feature.
