About the Fit GE

Honda called it the Fit. Everyone else called it the best small car you could buy with your eyes closed. The GE generation stretched the Magic Seat trick further, got a 1.5-liter i-VTEC making 117 hp, and somehow offered more interior space than sedans costing twice as much. The center fuel tank layout was the secret. Flat floor when you folded the rears, enough room to sleep in if your camping standards were flexible. CVT or five-speed manual, and the manual is the one you want because Honda made manuals that felt like precision instruments even in their cheapest cars. It wasn't fast. It wasn't trying to be. The GE was honest transportation with a chassis that punched way above its class.
