About the HR-V RU

Honda launched the RU HR-V in 2015 as a subcompact crossover built on the Jazz platform, and the packaging genius showed immediately. The Magic Seat system — rear seats that fold flat or flip up — created cargo versatility that nothing in the segment could match. The 1.5 i-VTEC engine was modest on power but strong on efficiency, and the CVT was among the less offensive examples of the breed. In markets from Japan to Brazil, the HR-V became a runaway hit because Honda solved the small-SUV puzzle first: maximum space, minimum footprint.
