About the NSX 3.0 VTEC (270 Hp) RWD
The C30A is one of the greatest engines Honda ever built — and Honda has built some of the greatest engines in history. 270 hp from 3.0 liters naturally aspirated, with VTEC variable valve timing that transformed the engine's character at 5,800 RPM. Below the crossover, the C30A was smooth and tractable. Above it, the intake note hardened, the power curve steepened, and the V6 screamed to 8,000 RPM with an enthusiasm that no turbocharged engine has replicated. The five-speed manual had a gate so precise it felt like a rifle bolt. In a 1,370 kg aluminum body with mid-engine balance, the C30A made the NSX feel like nothing else on the road.
