The Type S was the send-off the NC1 deserved. 600 hp, recalibrated chassis, wider tires, louder exhaust, and a personality that the base car hinted at but never fully committed to. Only 350 built worldwide. The Type S was Honda finally letting the NC1 be aggressive rather than polished — more GT3 than grand tourer. It arrived too late to save the generation's reputation but proved the hardware was always capable of greatness.
