About the Sorento MQ4
Kia turned the Sorento into a genuine three-row competitor and the MQ4 was the generation that pulled it off. The 2.5-liter turbo made 281 hp, the hybrid combined for 227 hp, and the plug-in hybrid hit 261 hp with 32 miles of electric range. The platform was shared with the Hyundai Santa Fe but the Sorento rode on a shorter wheelbase, which made it feel more composed in corners. The X-Line trim added a rugged look with unique bumpers and 20-inch wheels. Third row was usable for kids, tight for adults. Interior quality was high, the infotainment worked well, and the available dual-screen curved display looked premium. The MQ4 competed with vehicles costing ,000 more and didn't apologize for the badge.
