About the Aventador

The Aventador was the last Lamborghini built around a naturally aspirated V12 and nothing else. No hybrid assist, no electric torque fill, no turbos smoothing the power curve. Just 6.5 liters of displacement, 8,500 rpm, and a sound that registered on seismographs. It replaced the Murciélago in 2011 with a full carbon-fiber monocoque, pushrod suspension, and an ISR single-clutch gearbox that was brutal by design. The LP700-4 made 700 hp. The SVJ made 770 and took the Nürburgring lap record. The Ultimae made 780 and closed the book forever. Over 11,000 Aventadors were built across eleven years. When the last one rolled off the line in Sant'Agata in 2022, Lamborghini didn't just retire a model. They retired a formula: mid-engine, naturally aspirated V12, rear-wheel bias AWD, no apologies. Whatever comes next has a battery in it.
