About the Range Rover 3.5 V8 (135 Hp) 4WD
The original Rover V8 — a Buick design that crossed the Atlantic and found a better life in Britain. 135 hp sounds pedestrian now, but the 251 Nm of torque made the Classic effortless at low speeds and competent at motorway pace. The four-speed manual with low-range transfer case was the original specification, and it established the Range Rover as something fundamentally different from a Land Rover: a vehicle that could cross a mountain and cruise to dinner without changing clothes.
