RANGE ROVER L322
About the Range Rover L322
The L322 was the Range Rover that finally matched the luxury promise with the build quality to back it up. BMW started the development, Ford finished it, and the result was the most refined Range Rover to date — a genuine Bentley alternative that could still wade through half a meter of water. The early cars got the BMW M62 4.4 V8 and later the Jaguar AJ-V8. The supercharged 4.2 made 396 hp and turned the L322 into a two-tonne missile. The TDV8 diesel was the one that made financial sense, delivering effortless torque without the fuel bills. Interior quality jumped a generation. The L322 cabin was the first Range Rover interior that didn't feel like it was apologizing for something. This is the generation that made the Range Rover a genuine luxury brand, not just a luxury-adjacent one.
