The FC added turbos and controversy. The 13B engine with the Turbo II setup made 200 hp, which gave the RX-7 genuine straight-line speed for the first time. The chassis was bigger and more refined, the interior was better, and the car could actually be lived with. Critics said it was too heavy. At 1,260 kg. With a turbo rotary. Those critics needed perspective.
