The Turbo II turned the RX-7 from a lightweight handler into a genuine fast car. 200 hp from a turbocharged 13B, enough for 240 km/h and a sub-7-second 0-100. The chassis was balanced, the boost came on cleanly, and the car felt faster than the numbers because the rotary revved so freely. The FC Turbo II is the most underrated Japanese sports car of the 1980s.
