The B11 Sentra was Nissans workhorse through the early 1980s — front-engine, rear-drive in early versions, with a switch to front-wheel-drive that signaled where the industry was heading. The E15 and E16 engines were modest on power but stingy on fuel, which mattered enormously during the second oil crisis. Build quality was solid for the era, and the wagon variant added genuine practicality. Nothing about the B11 was glamorous, and that was precisely the point. It got the job done, every single day.
