About the Porsche 911 3.6 Turbo (420 Hp) AWD
The 996 Turbo used the Mezger engine — a different, race-derived flat-six unrelated to the base car's M96. No IMS bearing issues. 420 hp. Twin turbos. All-wheel drive. The 996 Turbo was essentially a GT1 race car in a tuxedo, and it could embarrass Ferraris costing twice as much without breaking a sweat.
