The BM Legacy hit showrooms in 2009 carrying the weight of a nameplate that had already peaked. Subaru widened it, smoothed it, and gave it a 2.5-liter boxer that prioritized efficiency over excitement. The CVT replaced the traditional automatic, and enthusiasts noticed — not happily.
