About the Supra 3.0 Twin Turbo (276 Hp) RWD
The one. The 2JZ-GTE is the most famous inline-six in tuning history, and this is where it lived. 276 hp on paper — a number dictated by Japan's gentleman's agreement, not by engineering limitations. The cast-iron block, forged crank, and oil-squirted pistons were designed for a power figure Toyota could never officially admit to targeting. Sequential twin turbos eliminated lag below 4,000 RPM and hit full boost with the subtlety of a freight train. Paired with a Getrag V160 six-speed manual, this was Toyota's answer to the 300ZX Twin Turbo, the RX-7 FD, and the Porsche 911 — all at once. The quarter-mile fell in the low 13s stock. With bolt-ons, 400 hp came easy. With internals, the sky was the limit. Literally.
