The LT1 6.2-liter V8 making 455 hp in a car that could finally handle. The 6th Gen Camaro SS proved Chevrolet had been paying attention to what Porsche and BMW were doing — and then added two more cylinders. The Alpha platform gave it the agility that five generations of Camaros never had. Magnetic ride control, Brembo brakes, and a six-speed manual that was actually good. The visibility was terrible. Everything else was brilliant.
