About the Focus Mk2
The Mk2 Focus was the generation that made Ford a serious contender in European hot hatches. The ST got a Volvo-sourced five-cylinder turbo with 225 hp and an exhaust note that no four-banger could touch. The RS got 305 hp and enough torque steer to rearrange your arm sockets. Even the base models had sharp steering and a willing chassis. The Mk2 Focus was built for people who actually liked driving — and Ford didn't charge extra for it. The five-cylinder ST is the one they'll remember.
