About the Civic Type R FN2
For the eighth generation Honda split the Type R in two. Japan got the FD2, a four-door sedan with 225 PS at 8,000 rpm. Europe got the FN2, a three-door hatchback, with a 2.0-litre K20Z4 making 201 PS at 7,800 rpm and 193 Nm at 5,600 rpm. That's one PS more than the EP3, but ADAC's EU weight went up 68 kg to 1,338 kg, and its 0-100 km/h time of 6.6 s and 235 km/h top speed barely moved. Both cars kept a six-speed manual only. A Championship White Edition was sold in Germany from March 2009 to August 2010. European sales ran from March 2007 to December 2010. This was the last Type R generation without a turbo.
