About the Forte TD

The TD Forte launched in 2008 as Kias replacement for the Spectra, and the improvement was dramatic. Peter Schreigers design influence was already visible in the clean, European-influenced body, and the 2.0 Theta II engine delivered 156 horsepower — competitive with anything in the class. The Koup variant added genuine sporty appeal. Build quality took a visible step forward, and the warranty remained the strongest selling point in the segment. The TD was the Forte that made people stop prefacing Kia ownership with excuses.
