About the Forte YD

Kia sharpened the Forte considerably for the YD generation. Between 2013 and 2018, Peter Schreigers design language gave it a presence that compact sedans rarely earn — the two-tone roof option and coupe variant actually looked like they belonged in a showroom, not a rental lot. The 2.0 GDI engine was competent if unremarkable, but the value proposition was hard to argue with. More features per dollar than almost anything in its class. The Forte was still climbing toward respectability. The YD got it most of the way there.
