About the Sportage SL

The SL Sportage arrived in 2010 and instantly became one of the best-looking compact SUVs on the market. Peter Schreigers design magic was in full effect — the aggressive front end and sculpted body gave it a presence that the segment had never seen from Korea. The 2.4 GDI four was the volume engine, and available turbo power made it genuinely quick. Inside, the quality gap between Kia and the Japanese establishment narrowed to almost nothing. This was the generation that put Sportage on the same shopping list as RAV4 and Tucson.
