About the GT-R 3.8 Twin Turbo (480 Hp) AWD
The R35 launched with 480 hp and a dual-clutch that snapped off shifts in under 200 milliseconds. It posted a 7:29 Nürburgring lap time in stock form, which was faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo that cost twice as much. The VR38DETT V6 was hand-assembled by a single technician. Every engine got a signed plaque. At 1,740 kg it was heavy, but the all-wheel drive system and launch control made the weight disappear off the line.
