Same RB26DETT, better chassis, extra weight. The base R33 GT-R ran the same 280 hp rating but gained 15 Nm of torque and a stiffer body shell. It was the gentleman's GT-R — more composed on the highway, more comfortable on long drives, and quietly faster around a circuit than the R32. The car that serious drivers respect and casual fans overlook.
