About the Legacy 2.5 GT (265 Hp) AWD
The BL Legacy GT carried the turbocharged torch with a 2.5-liter EJ25 making 265 hp. Less dramatic than the twin-turbo BE, but more refined and easier to live with. The single-turbo setup reduced lag while the six-speed manual kept the driver engaged. At 1,520 kg with symmetrical AWD, the BL was still faster than most of its competitors admitted. Subaru's mid-size sedan formula: take a WRX powertrain, add leather seats and sound deadening, and pretend nobody notices.
