The updated B58 in its final 382 hp form is the engine that silenced most of the BMW complaints. Not all of them — the 2JZ faithful will carry that torch forever — but 382 hp and 500 Nm from a single-turbo inline-six is objectively excellent. The ZF eight-speed automatic is faster than any manual could be, even if the lack of a third pedal stings. 0-100 in 4.1 seconds, rear-wheel drive, and a chassis tuned by Toyota's Gazoo Racing division. The A90 GR Supra in this spec is a legitimate sports car by any measure. Whether it's a legitimate Supra depends on who's asking.
