About the Lancer Evolution Evo X (CZ4A)

New engine, new platform, new controversy. The Evo X replaced the iron-block 4G63 with the aluminum 4B11T, dropped the iconic rear wing design, and offered a twin-clutch SST gearbox alongside the manual. Purists complained. Then they drove it. The Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system was the best AWD setup in any performance car at the price. The FQ-400 UK special made 409 hp from the factory. The standard MR with the twin-clutch launched to 100 in 4.6 seconds. The Evo X was the final evolution, and Mitsubishi went out swinging.
