About the Clio RS Mk2 Phase 2 (182)
Ten more horsepower and a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold. That's what separated the 182 from the 172 on paper. On the road, it was a different conversation. The Phase 2 sharpened everything. The F4R 738 engine breathed better, the gearshift was tighter, and the Cup variant came with a Sachs limited-slip differential that turned corner exit from a suggestion into a guarantee. At 1,035 kg in Cup trim, it was still knife-fight light. Then came the Trophy. Only 500 built for the UK, finished in Capsicum Red with Speedline Turini wheels and the rear spoiler borrowed from the Clio V6. It was Renault Sport's victory lap — a car built to be collected before anyone realized they should be collecting it.
